FRIENDS

The movie was directed by Siddique and was produced by Appachan. It was written by Siddique and Gokul Krishna. The lead role was played by Vijay, Suriya and Ramesh Khanna. Also female actresses like Devayani and Vijayalakshmi played important roles in this film. The music was done by Ilayaraaja and cinemotography by Anandakuttan. The film is a remake of the Siddiques own malayalam film by the same name.

STORYLINE

Aravindhan, Chandru and Krishnamurthy were friends. They valued friendship more than anything. The trio takes up the job of a Painter. From there he falls in love with Padmini. Abhirami , the cousin of Padmini is jealous of her. Chandru stands up for her friend but Padmini swears that she will separate their friendship. After marriage Aravindhan realises the innocense of Padmini. At the end Aravindhan reveales that in their young age Chandru's deaf and dumb brother was unknowingly killed by Aravindhan.Their speech was overheared by Aravindhan's cousin and informs Chandru about this.Then there was a mishap between them. Aravindhan tries to convince Chandru but he falls from the top of a mountain. From that incident onwards Aravindan and Chandru gets seperated. After long five years Chandru comes to meet Aravindhan's family. From there he finds to know that Aravindhan is not dead and he is in coma. After hearing the cry of Chandru, Aravindhan tries to come back into the normal life. They all come back into their old joy and live happily.
