RAJAVIN PARVAIYILE was the debut movie of Ilayathalapathi with 'Thala', Ajith Kumar. The movie was made when both the superstars were at the begining of their fruitful career in the Tamil film industry. The film was made at a time when Thala was yet to deliver a full fledged successful film.
The film directed by Janaki Soundar was not a commercial success in the box office. The film produced by S. Soundara Pandiyan and made by the production company Sri Masani Amman Movies was released in the theatres on August 5, 1995. Te film also featured music composed by Ilayaraaja.

The Indian music legend Ilayaraaja was at his peak position of his career during the mid 90's. A total of five songs were composed by Ilayaraaja for this film. The lyrics were written by Vaali, Muthulingham and Kamakodiyan. The songs were;
PLOT
The story happens in a village. Vijay, being the son of a poor farmer aims to get a good job after his studies. Meanwhile Gowri, the daughter of the landlord of the village falls in love with Vijay. But vijay always tried to get away from her. Gowri then tries to know the reason for this behavior of Vijay. Vijay then narrates a flash back story of his friend Chandru and his unsuccessful love story with Gayathri who suicide after his lover's marriage. That's what make Vijay hate love. But as the story continues Vijay falls in love with Gowri. At the end of the story they unite together though they face many problems from the villagers itself.
